01The brief

More than 70 works, cut from everything.

Kutubna’s Collage Art Exhibition gathered more than 70 works by artists from 26 countries, made with paper, fabric, photographs, found objects and digital tools. Physical and digital collage hung side by side. The identity had to hold that much variety without adding a layer of its own.

The work

Collage in every form: magazine paper, repurposed textile, marbled paper, Photoshop composites, video stills. Themes of memory, migration, belonging and home.

The system

It follows the Kutubna exhibition system: one artwork fills the frame, the bilingual title block leads, dates and opening details run in matching English and Arabic.

02The key visual

Cut shapes, a cut title.

We built the identity on Alberto De Blobs’ Small Forum: torn blues, a black field and a slash of red. This time the Arabic title leads, set large, with EXHIBITION spaced out in a single blue bar, like a strip of paper laid on top. On the flyer, the same blue becomes the full panel.

03The catalogue

108 pages for a crowded wall.

The largest Kutubna catalogue so far. Every artist opens with a portrait and a bilingual biography; every work gets a plate with title, medium, year and size in both languages. Pages sit on a soft paper texture, so cut edges and torn layers in the work read clearly against it.

04Inviting the city

One collage, every screen.

The key visual was recomposed for each format rather than cropped: the square post, the feed portrait, the story, and desktop and mobile website banners. The artwork shifts behind the title each time, so every format reads as its own collage.

A full identity for the Collage Art Exhibition, 16 May to 31 August 2026, and Kutubna’s largest catalogue to date. The exhibition system stretched to its biggest show without changing its rules.

Curating a group show or open call?

A long artist list still needs one clear voice.

We build exhibition identities and catalogues that stay calm when the line-up is large and the timeline is short.
