Event identity, flags and backdrop artwork for Building Dubai’s Future of Construction, hosted by Dubai Municipality and Expo City Dubai.
01The brief
Construction, told as a message from the future.
Dubai Municipality and Expo City Dubai brought together the construction-technology community at the Contech Innovation Hub at Expo City Dubai. Through Emirian Production, we were asked for the visual identity: the logo, colours and theme, and the artwork for the flags and the stage backdrop, in Arabic and English.

Two worlds
Steel and concrete on one side, robotics and data on the other. The identity had to hold both.
Two hosts
Every piece sits beside the Dubai Municipality and Expo City Dubai marks.
02Exploring the mark
A foundation, drawn in lines.
We looked for a mark that reads as the link between sustainability and innovation. Early routes were built for 04 ConTech Valley, the construction-technology sandbox behind the programme: a slanted monogram drawn on a construction grid, and a wordmark that turns the number 04 into an arch.
03The theme
Concrete grey, living-data blue.
Nova Blue for digital transformation and the data flowing through infrastructure, Charcoal Grey for steel and reinforced concrete, Pure White for clarity and a zero-waste future. Soft, lit spheres float over the gradient: solid like material, glowing like a screen.

04Testing it in place
Glass, ceilings and boxes.
We tried the theme where people would meet it: on the glass of the venue entrance, on hanging banners, and on gift boxes for guests.
05The event identity
Building Dubai’s Future of Construction.
The final lockup sets the event name in four stacked lines, wrapped by a single line that steps and turns like a plan drawing. It runs across flags in navy and white beside the host marks, and on the stage backdrop with the event date.
The result
A bilingual event identity that sits comfortably beside two host brands, from the flagpoles outside to the backdrop on stage.
