01The brief

Time to roam the country.

DFYN, an interior design, fit-out and construction group in Dubai, wanted its two company cars, a Nissan Juke and a Mitsubishi Lancer, to work as moving billboards: build awareness, name the services, carry the contact details and the line “Don’t build a house, build a lifestyle”, in English and Arabic.

Don’t build a house, build a lifestyle.

DFYN tagline, also set in Arabic on both cars
DFYN: DFYN Build: time to roam the country
DFYN: Why branding your cars is important: awareness, services, connection, attraction

02The idea

Follow the car, not the canvas.

Keep it simple and let each car’s own curves do the work. Every wrap is built from five parts: the triangle pattern from the DFYN identity, a black shape around the wheel arches carrying the tagline, a silver shape with the pattern, contact details on the doors, and the logo on the sides, roof and rear. Enough English and Arabic to pass RTA approval, nothing more.

DFYN: The idea, mapped on the Juke: pattern, black shape, silver shape, contact details, logo
DFYN: The same five parts mapped on the Lancer

03Nissan Juke

White, with a black sweep.

On the Juke, the body stays white. The black shape wraps the rear arch and the tagline runs along it; the pattern fades in over the bonnet and the large DFYN Build logo sits on the doors and the roof.

DFYN: Nissan Juke, side view
DFYN: Rear arch with the tagline in English and Arabic
DFYN: Bonnet with the triangle pattern and the logo
DFYN: Rear three-quarter view with contact details
DFYN: Top view: logo on the roof

04Mitsubishi Lancer

Three rounds to the right balance.

The Lancer went through rounds. In v.01 it was silver with a black tail and plain DFYN Group lettering; in v.03 we tried it the other way round, black in front and white behind, with the group logo. The final v.04 went back to silver and black, keeping the group logo from v.03.

DFYN: v.01: silver body, black tail
DFYN: v.03: the reverse, black front, white tail
DFYN: v.04: final, silver and black with the DFYN logo
DFYN: DFYN Group logo on the rear quarter
DFYN: Rear three-quarter view
DFYN: Front view on the road
DFYN: Top view: logo on the roof and boot

05Ready to print

Flat, measured and ready for RTA.

Approved designs went out as blueprints: every panel of each car laid flat, front, back, sides and roof, with the elements, tagline and fonts listed for the printer and for the RTA approval submission.

DFYN: Nissan Juke blueprint, all panels laid flat
DFYN: Mitsubishi Lancer blueprint, all panels laid flat

The result

Two company cars that carry the DFYN identity, services and contact details on the road, in English and Arabic. Each design was handed over as a print-ready blueprint for RTA approval.
